The Nepal Album
In collaboration with Elsa Peretti Foundation and KCAC Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre
In 2010 the Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre, KCAC, established Nepal’s first International Contemporary Arts Centre to act as a catalyst for Nepali and International artists. KCAC hosts exhibitions, workshops, symposia and gives bursaries and studio residencies to emerging Nepali artists. The art reference library, with over 5,000 art books, is the largest of its kind in Nepal, thanks to major gifts from Tate Britain and many private donors.
In June 2011 KCAC moved to the Patan Museum, set in one of the world’s most beautiful squares. Officially re-open on 25th March 2012 with an exhibition based on the ...from portrait to self-portrait... project.
